Similar to Daikon radish and mustard cover crops, Organic garbanzo bean seed is grown for its uniquely deep taproot known to break up firm, uncultivated soils to prepare for the growing season. And like all legumes and cover crops, non-GMO Organic garbanzo is a beneficial nitrogen-fixing crop, able to repair damaged and deficient soils during the grow season or, most commonly, tilled back into the garden as an all-natural Organic green compost.
